Makola Market traders educated on insuring goods against fire

Legal Ink Lawyers and Associates held an outreach at Makola Market. This was in response to recent fire outbreaks that caused major destruction.

The goal was to educate traders on using legal channels for compensation. They wanted to help traders understand how to recover losses from disasters.

Kamil Mohammed, the firm’s Deputy Managing Counsel, spoke to the traders. He stressed the importance of having insurance for unexpected losses.

“When you have insurance, it covers your property during disasters,” he said. “The insurer will provide compensation based on your policy terms.”

Priscilla Mac-Andoh, an associate solicitor, also spoke during the outreach. She highlighted the importance of drafting a will for family protection.

“It’s crucial to have a will before we die,” she explained. “It prevents disputes and secures property for minor children.”
