Man convicted for attack on a group of journalists

The Asankragwa District Court has convicted Daniel Baidoo for attacking journalists at Adumanya near Asankran Breman in the Western Region.

Baidoo was fined 300 penalty units, amounting to GH₵3,600. Failure to pay will result in a one-year prison term with hard labor.

He was arrested on February 21, 2025, by the Western Central Regional Police Command. Authorities recovered a Panasonic Lumix camera and an iPhone from him, belonging to the victims.

The conviction reinforces the legal stance against attacks on journalists, ensuring accountability for such offenses.
