Man of God pays GHC40,000 for replacement of vandalised statue of Akufo-Addo by May

Plans are in motion to replace the vandalized statue of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo at the Effiankwanta Hospital roundabout in Sekondi-Takoradi.

Prophet Elija Joshua, founder of Glory and Dominion Ministry and an independent candidate in the last election, has taken it upon himself to fund the replacement.

Speaking on Connect FM’s Omanbapa Morning Show, he revealed that he has already paid GHC40,000 to a sculptor for the new statue. He intends to consult former President Akufo-Addo and local authorities before its installation. If denied permission, he plans to display it in his hometown or on his pickup truck.

The prophet cited Akufo-Addo’s contributions to the region, including hospital expansions and road projects, as reasons for his gesture.
