Alhaji Ayaana Yakubu, the 65-year-old man who walked from Kumasi to Accra to honor President John Dramani Mahama’s inauguration, has been generously rewarded with a brand-new Renault car, an undisclosed sum of money, and shopping vouchers worth GH¢5,000.

The gesture, facilitated by renowned broadcaster Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), was made possible by an anonymous philanthropist who recognized Alhaji Ayaana’s remarkable effort.

A video shared by KOD on Instagram captures the emotional moment Alhaji Ayaana receives the keys to his new car.

Alhaji Ayaana is no stranger to such acts of patriotism, having previously walked long distances to celebrate the inaugurations of former Presidents Rawlings and Mahama.
