Manasseh Azure criticizes Greater Accra Minister’s Zoomlion partnership, cites corruption concerns

Investigative journalist Manasseh Azure has raised alarms over Greater Accra Regional Minister Linda Ocloo’s decision to collaborate with Zoomlion in tackling Accra’s sanitation problems.

Azure criticized Ocloo’s first official action of meeting with Zoomlion CEO, Joseph Siaw Agyepong, for a partnership to keep the city clean.

Azure argues that such a move signals corruption rather than solutions, citing Zoomlion’s history of corruption scandals and mismanagement.

He points to multiple investigations, including one revealing that Zoomlion’s contracts have failed to improve Accra’s cleanliness despite its monopoly on sanitation services.

Azure urges Ocloo to reconsider her decision, highlighting the widespread public discontent reflected in social media comments.
