The government has declared Monday, March 31, and Tuesday, April 1, 2025, as public holidays. This is to celebrate Eid-Ul-Fitr for the Muslim community in Ghana.
On Saturday, March 22, 2025, Mr. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak issued a press release. He is the Minister for the Interior. He stated that Eid-Ul-Fitr will be observed on Sunday, March 30 or Monday, March 31.
Since March 30 falls on a Sunday, the President made an announcement. His Excellency declared Monday and Tuesday as additional public holidays. This decision follows Section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act (Act 601).
The release emphasized that these days should be observed nationwide.
