Martin Amidu calls on Mahama to investigate ‘payroll fraud’ at OSP

Martin Amidu Martin Amidu

Anti-corruption advocate Martin Amidu has urged President John Mahama to probe alleged payroll fraud and financial irregularities at the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).

He claims that OSP employees were unlawfully subjected to polygraph tests instead of the required vetting by the Ghana Police Service and National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).

Amidu asserts that proper background checks, including fingerprinting and verification of credentials, were ignored.

Some OSP employees, shocked by these revelations, are reportedly willing to testify.

Describing the situation as a “massive economic crime scene,” Amidu insists that due process was deliberately bypassed.

His call for action follows public responses to his February 25 article, which also raised concerns about irregularities at the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP).
