The Saglemi Housing Project has been embroiled in controversy over alleged misappropriation of funds
Private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu is demanding an independent value-for-money audit on the Saglemi Housing Project, arguing that the case involving former Works and Housing Minister Collins Dauda requires further scrutiny.
Speaking on TV3 on February 15, Kpebu criticized the expenditure of $200 million for 1,500 houses, insisting that the matter must not be closed.
He called for the involvement of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) like CDD-Ghana and independent experts in reviewing the project.
Kpebu warned that if the current administration fails to fully investigate the issue, a future government may be forced to reopen the case.
