MentraxOro Jewellery has made history. It is the first Ghanaian brand to gift real gold at a product unveiling. The event highlighted tourism, arts, and culture.
The landmark event took place at the Accra International Conference Centre. Over 150 guests attended, including prominent Ghanaian personalities and dignitaries. Each guest received a real gold pendant during the unveiling of the Ghana Gold Pendant.
Notable attendees included actor James Gardiner and comedian Michael Blackson. Filmmaker Fred Nuamah, media personality KOD, and Maame Efua Houadjeto also joined. They celebrated a cultural milestone showcasing Ghana’s identity and craftsmanship.
MentraxOro set a new standard for luxury and national pride in jewellery. A representative from the Ga Mantse Palace spoke about the event's cultural significance. Popular broadcaster Serwaa Amihere served as MC, adding elegance to the evening.
The Ghana Gold Pendant is crafted entirely in Ghana. It symbolizes national unity, artistic excellence, and cultural pride. MentraxOro is the first brand to create a gold piece promoting tourism.
Under the theme “Experience Ghana: Gateway to Africa,” this initiative aims to position Ghana as Africa’s top cultural destination. The pendant showcases Ghana’s rich traditions and resilience on a global stage.
Mr. Victor Wellrich, Head of Marketing at Mentrax Refinery, spoke at the ceremony. He emphasized that this launch celebrates Ghana’s heritage and creativity. “We are telling the world that Ghana is rich in culture, unity, and artistry,” he said.
The evening featured live music, cultural performances, and artistic displays. There was even a symbolic recreation of Independence Arch. This echoed the vision of making Ghana the gateway to Africa.
