Michael H. Yamson: New DA Common Fund Administrator sworn-in by President Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has sworn in Michael Harry Yamson. He is the new Administrator of the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF).

During the ceremony on March 25, 2025, at Jubilee House, President Mahama spoke about fund management. He stressed the importance of timely and adequate fund releases to district assemblies.

The president emphasized a zero tolerance policy for inefficiencies and underperformance. He urged Yamson to help achieve true decentralization. This will ensure that development is distributed evenly across districts.

In response, Michael Harry Yamson promised to address delays and improve efficiency. He also committed to ensuring value for money in fund disbursement.

Yamson was vetted by Parliament’s Appointments Committee on March 20 before his appointment.
