Midiarack set to transform media buying in Africa

Buying traditional media in Africa can be slow and confusing. This is especially true for small businesses and marketing teams. Midiarack, a new platform, aims to change this situation.

Midiarack will serve as a unified marketplace. Users can discover and book media spaces easily. This includes billboards, radio, print, and online ads across Africa. The goal is to make media buying as simple as grocery shopping.

Kwabena Sarpong, the founder of Midiarack, explains the problem. “Buying media for campaigns can be tedious,” he says. “You often deal with multiple media owners. It’s hard to know which boards are available.” He believes Midiarack will bring much-needed transparency and ease.

Sarpong also highlights the potential of African businesses. “They can become global powerhouses,” he states. However, they need better tools for planning and purchasing media.

Midiarack will launch in Ghana this June. The platform plans to expand to other African markets within 18 months. Currently, it is onboarding media owners and building an advertiser waitlist.
