At least nine residents of Kukua in the North East Region are receiving treatment at Walewale Hospital after allegedly being brutalized by military personnel.
The victims, aged between 19 and 50, claim they were dragged from their homes and assaulted with sticks and wires, suffering severe injuries, including broken bones.
The military reportedly stormed the community in response to an earlier attack on a commercial bus along the Tamale-Walewale Road.
Unknown gunmen ambushed the vehicle, setting it ablaze and killing four passengers, including a baby.
Reports indicate the victims were burned along with the bus after refusing the attackers' orders to disembark.
The incident has sparked outrage, raising concerns over military operations in civilian communities.
