‘Ministry of Communications has inherited GH¢6bn debt’ - Ghanaian Times

The Ministry of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovation has a debt over GH¢6 billion. Some key agencies are nearly out of funds. This information comes from sector minister Samuel Nartey George.

He is also the Member of Parliament for Ningo-Prampram. He shared these details in Parliament while presenting the 2025 budget estimates.

Nartey George noted that the National Communications Authority (NCA) is in trouble. It once had strong finances but now has only US$1 million left.

He also mentioned the National Information Technology Agency (NITA). NITA has just GH¢25.08 in its account and a debt of GH¢813.5 million.
