Minkah-Premo tops Ghana’s largest law firms by number of lawyers in 2025

Minkah-Premo has topped the 2025 law firm rankings by lawyer count. The only non-Accra firm in the top five is Kumasi-based Momim & Botta Solicitors.

Ghana’s legal landscape is growing. Minkah-Premo, also known as MPOBB, leads with 54 lawyers. This sets it apart in a market where size matters.

The rankings are based on the number of employed lawyers. They provide a snapshot of Ghana’s prominent law firms as of April 25, 2025. Legal services are expanding alongside economic growth.

Firms are building larger teams to meet rising client demand. This demand spans sectors like energy, finance, and infrastructure.

Bentsi-Enchill, Letsa & Ankomah follows Minkah-Premo with 44 lawyers. Moomim & Botta Solicitors ranks third with 43 lawyers. This is notable for its size and location.

Moomim & Botta is the only top-five firm outside Accra. AB & David Africa has 42 lawyers, while Sam Okudzeto and Associates has 40.

The competition among these firms is very close. A few lawyers separate the second through fifth spots. This indicates a growing sophistication in Ghana’s legal market.

While most firms are still based in Accra, Moomim & Botta's success shows a shift. Major legal services are expanding beyond the capital city.

Regional players suggest a more diverse legal future ahead. However, over 76 percent of lawyers remain concentrated in Accra.

Minkah-Premo's dominance at the top is clear. With the largest team in Ghana, it can handle complex legal work effectively.

As client needs evolve, size and expertise become critical factors. Minkah-Premo's ranking shows it is setting industry standards.

Will this trend continue into 2026? Or will a new player emerge? We await the answer just like you do.
