Minority petitions US, and Ghana medical councils over fake doctor Sansa Daly’s qualification

The minority in parliament has petitioned the Ghana Medical and Dental Council (GMDC) and US medical councils. They are questioning the qualifications of Anne Sansa Daly, a self-styled medical practitioner.

Dr. Nana Ayew Afriye, the Ranking Member on the Health Committee, asked both councils to verify Dr. Daly's claims. She alleges to be a Johns Hopkins-trained medical doctor.

In their petition, the Minority requested three things:

1. Is Dr. Anne Sansa Daly currently registered and licensed by GMDC?
2. Has she ever been registered with GMDC in any capacity?
3. Can someone not registered with GMDC present themselves as a medical doctor in Ghana?

The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine stated they cannot find any record for Anne Sansa Daly. This information came after pharmacist Reginald Sekyi-Brown wrote to them on May 25, 2025.

In their response, Johns Hopkins said, “We are unable to locate a record under this name.”

Additionally, the minority has given GHOne TV a one-week ultimatum regarding Dr. Daly’s show ‘Health and Life with Dr. Daly’.

President John Mahama revoked Anne Sansa Daly’s appointment as a board member of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA). Reports indicate her appointment was rescinded due to concerns about her fake medical credentials.
