Minority questions GHOne TV over Ann Sansa Daly’s health show role

The Minority Caucus in Parliament has given GHOne TV a one-week ultimatum. They want clarification on featuring Dr. Ann Sansa Daly as the host of "Health and Life with Dr. Daly." This follows President John Dramani Mahama's decision to revoke her appointment at the National Health Insurance Authority. Concerns have emerged about her medical credentials.

In a letter signed by Dr. Nana Ayew Afriyie, the Ranking Member of the Health Committee, questions were raised about GHOne TV's vetting process for Dr. Daly. The caucus wants to know what investigations and background checks were conducted before she was engaged. They also seek details on the documents she submitted to verify her qualifications.

Additionally, the Minority Caucus is asking how GHOne TV approved and aired a program offering medical advice to the public. They demand to know what corrective measures will be taken due to potential misinformation or professional misconduct.

"The Ghanaian public relies heavily on credible media for health information," the letter states. It emphasizes that individuals given such platforms must meet legal and professional standards.
