The Minority in Parliament is worried about National Security's lack of updates. This follows the seizure of 12 containers filled with gold and cash in February 2025.
Nearly two months have passed since the operation. Yet, National Security has not revealed how much gold or money was recovered. They also haven't stated what will happen to these seized assets.
The Minority Caucus asked, "Does the government plan to mislead the public?" They are determined to get credible information on this issue.
Additionally, they want National Security to disclose details about cargo from two suspicious flights. These flights are AirMed flight N823AM and Cavok Air private jet Antonov An-12B.
The Caucus emphasized the need for transparency in fighting drug trafficking and money laundering. They expressed concern over recent increases in these crimes since the new government took office.
Finally, the Caucus supports purchasing two Offshore Patrol Vessels. This move aims to enhance security in Ghana's waters and deter piracy.
