Minority writes to Speaker Bagbin over NIB's attempt to arrest Ntim Fordjour

The Minority Caucus in Parliament has written to Speaker Alban Bagbin. They expressed concern over the National Investigations Bureau's (NIB) attempt to arrest Rev. John Ntim Fordjour. This incident occurred on Wednesday, April 9.

In a letter obtained by Metro TV, Minority Chief Whip Frank Annoh-Dompreh criticized the NIB's actions. He stated that these actions disregard established protocols and constitutional provisions.

Annoh-Dompreh noted that the attempt took place at Ntim Fordjour's home. This happened despite clear directives from the Speaker’s office about engaging MPs during investigations.

The Minority Caucus believes the NIB's actions undermine the Speaker's authority. They argue it violates the privileges and immunities of Members of Parliament as outlined in the Constitution.

Annoh-Dompreh emphasized that such actions are unacceptable. The Minority Caucus has urged Speaker Bagbin to take urgent action. They want him to reaffirm earlier directives and engage national security heads for proper procedures when interacting with MPs.
