Mixing national security with politics worrying – Inusah Fuseini slams Ntim Fordjour

Inusah Fuseini, a former MP for Tamale Central, has criticized Rev. John Ntim Fordjour. Fordjour is the current MP for Assin South. He made claims about suspicious flights that Fuseini finds troubling.

Fuseini spoke on Channel One TV’s The Big Issue on April 12, 2025. He expressed concern over politicizing national security matters. He questioned what Fordjour aims to achieve with his statements.

As a ranking member of the Defence and Interior Committee, Fordjour has access to information. Fuseini noted that MPs receive information to pass along responsibly. If not acted upon, it can escalate issues unnecessarily.

Fuseini warned about excessive partisanship harming national security credibility. He believes mixing politics with national security makes everything seem political. This trend worries him greatly.

He cautioned against making serious public allegations without evidence. Such claims can damage the reputations of airlines involved. If they seek to clear their names, we could be liable for that damage.

While acknowledging suspicion is natural, he stressed the need for evidence when making claims. “Everyone has the right to suspect,” he said. However, those who make allegations must provide proof and cannot simply move on without accountability.
