Moses Asaga sworn in as PURC Board Chair

The new Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) Board has been sworn in. Chief of Staff Julius Debrah led the ceremony.

President John Dramani Mahama appointed Moses Asaga as the Board Chairman. He is a former Member of Parliament for Nabdam. Four other members joined him on the board.

Debrah urged the team to focus on transparency and efficiency. He emphasized the need for results while maintaining thoroughness.

“Thank you for agreeing to work hard for the president,” he said. He noted that the government is eager to see progress but wants meticulous work.

Debrah also stressed the administration's commitment to improving energy and key services. He highlighted how important the board's role is in this effort.

“The president wants excellent performance in energy and security services,” he added. He encouraged the board to give their best for public satisfaction.
