Mother’s Day: Lordina Mahama supports mothers at Korle Bu

Ghana’s First Lady, Lordina Mahama, celebrated Mother’s Day at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. She spent time with new and expectant mothers.

This visit was special for her. It reminded her of her own motherhood journey.

Mrs. Mahama encouraged mothers in labor to stay strong. She urged them to focus on the joy after delivery. She noted that motherhood is more than childbirth.

She highlighted love, sleepless nights, and resilience as key aspects of being a mother.

During the celebration, she gave gift packages to the mothers. She also paid the medical bills for all babies born that day.

Mrs. Mahama interacted with healthcare workers too. She recognized both the challenges and blessings of motherhood.

“Motherhood is indeed a beautiful experience,” she said. She extended warm wishes to everyone who plays a motherly role in society.
