Mother’s Day: We’re pillars of our homes and heartbeat of our nation – Lordina

The First Lady of Ghana, Lordina Mahama, wishes all mothers a happy Mother’s Day.

On Sunday, May 11, she released a statement from her office. She praised mothers for their strength and resilience. Lordina described them as pillars of society and the heartbeat of the nation.

She recognized the important role women play in nurturing families. Mothers support their spouses and help build strong communities. “My dear mothers and remarkable women of Ghana,” she said, “my heart is filled with gratitude for each of you.”

“Mothers nurture the future,” she continued. “Our wise counsel and unconditional support foster strong families.” She emphasized that this lays the groundwork for a compassionate society.

The First Lady reaffirmed her commitment to supporting women and vulnerable groups. She acknowledged the daily sacrifices mothers make for their families' well-being.

“My dear mothers, I see your efforts and challenges,” she stated. “The well-being of our homes is linked to our nation's progress.”

Lordina Mahama expressed her dedication to ensuring quality care during pregnancy and childbirth. She will continue to champion access to health services for children.
