Mpohor-Fiase NDC urges party leaders to honour DCE appointment promise

The Mpohor-Fiase branch of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) is making a request. They want the party’s National Chairman and General Secretary to keep their promise. This promise involves rewarding hard work and dedication.

The Constituency is urging leaders to appoint a District Chief Executive (DCE). They want this appointment to come from elected Constituency executives, as promised during the 2023 National Delegates Congress.

Members are specifically advocating for Daniel Mawuli Kwofie Agbesi as DCE. They warn that not doing so could harm party support in the constituency. This is especially true among Ewes, Fantes, and Northerners, who make up about 70% of voters.

The Constituency leadership emphasizes "No Contribution, No Chop." They believe appointing someone outside the executives would betray commitments and erode trust among supporters.

Alexander Ofori, the Constituency Communication officer, spoke on the Good Morning Taadi show. He said members eagerly await the President’s decision on Agbesi's appointment. Ofori warned that failing to meet this expectation could lead to disillusionment among party members.

This situation follows the NDC's victory in Mpohor during the 2024 elections. Henry Godfred Bentil was elected as Member of Parliament. Ofori urged the President to strengthen party gains by appointing Agbesi.

He highlighted that Agbesi understands the Constituency’s challenges and needs well. Such an appointment would reinforce grassroots empowerment and maintain loyalty among supporters.
