A group of concerned Muslims has criticized the government for delaying the announcement of the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage fees, calling the silence "unacceptable."

The group highlighted that other West African countries have made significant progress in their Hajj preparations, while Ghana lags behind despite the recent formation of the Hajj Task Force.

This task force had already returned from Saudi Arabia after negotiating with service providers.

The group expressed concern over the lack of communication and transparency from the government, urging it to announce the fees promptly to allow potential pilgrims to plan financially.

The group also questioned if the government's promise to reduce Hajj fees from last year's GH₵75,000 was creating a challenge.
