Muslim women urged to aspire beyond limitations - Ghanaian Times

The 2025 Grand Tafseer concluded on Saturday in Accra. It emphasized that Muslim women should aim beyond societal limitations.

In Islam, ‘Tafseer’ means the commentary of the Quran. It provides explanations and interpretations to understand God’s will.

Hajia Shamima Muslim chaired the event. She is the Founder and Convener of the Alliance for Women in Media Africa (AWMA).

She noted that people's aspirations are often limited by their community. The professions they see can influence their career choices.

Hajia Shamima urged parents to inspire aspiration in their children, especially girls.
