Mustapha Gbande applauds Mahama’s commitment to completing agenda 111 hospitals

Mustapha Gbande, the Deputy Director of Operations at the presidency, is pleased with President John Mahama’s commitment to hospital projects. These projects are part of the Agenda 111 initiative.

In an interview on JoyNews’ The Pulse, Mr. Gbande praised Mr. Mahama's vision. He emphasized that completing these hospitals is essential for national development, not politics.

“I’m very happy that President Mahama is committed to completing what President Akufo-Addo started,” he said. He believes that once completed, these hospitals will benefit the entire nation.

Mr. Gbande pointed out the urgent need for hospitals in rural areas. His own village currently lacks a healthcare facility.

“If we complete those Agenda 111 hospitals, they will help our sick people,” he urged. He stressed that medical care should not be politicized.

He also criticized the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for making Agenda 111 a political issue now. He questioned why they waited eight years to discuss healthcare priorities.

“Why did the NPP wait to begin that conversation today?” he asked.

The Agenda 111 project aims to design and construct various healthcare facilities across Ghana. This includes 101 District Hospitals and several Regional Hospitals in newly created regions.

The goal is to ensure all Ghanaians have access to quality healthcare services. The project also aims to enhance healthcare infrastructure through the National Health Insurance Scheme.
