Former National Petroleum Authority (NPA) CEO, Mustapha Hamid, has refuted claims that he has been declared wanted by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP).

In a social media post, he described the reports as false, malicious, and an attempt to damage his reputation.

He emphasized that, as of now, he has not been invited for any investigations and accused Joy News of spreading defamatory misinformation.

Hamid demanded an immediate apology with the same prominence given to the alleged falsehood.

Meanwhile, the OSP has confirmed an ongoing probe into GHC1.3 billion embezzlement at the NPA, involving Hamid and three other officials.

However, no official declaration has been made against him regarding his status in the investigation.
