My GoldBod appointment is a call to national duty- Mankessim Queenmother

Nana Ama Amissah III, the Queen Mother of Mankessim, thanked President John Dramani Mahama. She expressed her gratitude for her appointment to the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod).

In an interview with the Ghana News Agency, she appreciated the trust placed in her. She committed to serving the nation with diligence and integrity alongside her fellow board members.

She also thanked Nana Amanfo Adu VI, the Chief of Mankessim, for his guidance. Additionally, she expressed gratitude to the people of Mankessim for their support.

Nana Ama Amissah stated that serving on the GoldBod Board is significant. It connects wealth and destiny for our nation.

She accepted this role as a sacred mission. Her goal is to protect heritage and promote prosperity for all Ghanaians.

She promised to uphold trust and foster a spirit of service. Together, they will create opportunities and accelerate development in Ghana.

Nana Ama Amissah highlighted the Gold Board's strategic role. It stabilizes the national currency and maximizes economic benefits from gold reserves.

The Board aims to reform Ghana’s gold economy and combat illegal trade. This work strengthens long-term financial resilience for the country.

She pledged good governance, transparency, and stakeholder engagement. Her appointment comes at a crucial time for attracting investments.

Nana Ama Amissah plans to drive sustainable development in Mankessim. She urged local and foreign investors to explore opportunities in her area.

Nana Ama Amissah III has achieved much already as a leader. She pioneered initiatives like the Central Region Queen Mothers Association.

She champions women’s empowerment through campaigns such as “Beyond Kitchen.”

Additionally, she advocates for fistula education while facilitating surgeries for affected women.

Her work includes supporting education while fighting child labor and trafficking.

She promotes African culture along with moral values within communities.

Finally, she thanked several key supporters including First Lady Lordina Mahama and Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson.
