The Today for Tomorrow Fund (TFT) has opened two new classroom blocks in Sakasaka, Tamale Metropolis. This marks a significant step to improve education in Ghana’s Northern Region.
The project includes a four-classroom block for Sakasaka Junior High School. It also features a three-classroom block for the Sakasaka Kindergarten School.
This initiative addresses urgent infrastructure challenges faced by these schools. The Sakasaka JHS block was destroyed by fire years ago. The KG block at Sakasaka M/A Primary School ‘D’ had become unsafe.
The opening ceremony included key stakeholders. Attendees were the Director of the Regional Ghana Education Service, TFT Directors Yusif Ya-Adzagey and Sephania Koutanyi, MP Seid Mubarak, and MCE Alhaji Abubakari Adam Takoro.
During their speeches, TFT Directors thanked partners and skilled artisans. Their dedication made this project possible. They also recognized support from Moolre Limited and Millennial Assets and Properties Ltd.
Director Sephania Koutanyi stated that this initiative symbolizes hope and opportunity. He emphasized the importance of creating conducive learning environments for students and teachers.
MP Seid Mubarak urged parents and teachers to collaborate with schools. Their involvement is crucial for ensuring quality education for students.
MCE Alhaji Abubakari Adam Takoro promised continued support from the Assembly. He stressed that investments in education must be protected for future generations.
The Today for Tomorrow Fund remains committed to transforming communities through education. They announced plans to build three ICT centers in Volta and Bono regions next.
