NACOC arrests alleged drug kingpin at Kuntunse gym

The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has arrested Geoffrey Agbi. He is the suspected leader of a drug operation at a gym. The gym is located at the Kuntunse Spirit Filling Station near Amasaman.

NACOC issued a press update on Saturday, May 31, 2025. Agbi was arrested on Friday, May 30, around 6:20 p.m. He was found in his office at the gym. This followed a successful surveillance operation by NACOC's special team.

Several substances believed to be illicit drugs were found in his office. Agbi is currently in detention and assisting with investigations.

Background: This arrest follows an earlier NACOC raid on April 14, 2025. Officers raided four businesses at the Spirit Filling Station around 10:00 p.m. These included a pub, boutique, salon, and gym. Five suspects were arrested during that operation.

Among those arrested were Elvis Owusu Yeboah and Joseph Godsway. Both are gym instructors at Korea Gym in Amasaman. Godsway is a Nigerian national.

Geoffrey Agbi is believed to own the gym and lead the drug network. He had fled during the previous raid and was placed on NACOC’s wanted list. Further surveillance showed he returned to the gym and hired new staff for drug operations.

His arrest is a significant step toward dismantling this local drug network. Investigations are ongoing as NACOC works to identify all individuals linked to this operation.
