The National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) has congratulated John Dramani Mahama on his re-election as President and hailed Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang's historic rise as Ghana’s first female Vice President.

In a Constitution Day press release on January 7, 2025, the NCCE celebrated Ghana’s resilience in democracy and unity.

Highlighting the importance of the 1992 Constitution, the Commission praised citizens for their active participation in the December 2024 elections, which it described as a testament to the nation’s democratic maturity.

The NCCE urged Ghanaians to embrace peace, tolerance, and dialogue post-election, emphasizing democracy as a continuous commitment to unity and development.

It announced its 2025 civic education theme, “Ghana’s Future: Our Collective Responsibility,” focusing on governance, youth engagement, and national unity.
