A $100 million digital learning project has been launched. It took place at Awudome Secondary School (AWUSCO). The goal is to improve teaching and learning in Senior High Schools.
This initiative aims to bridge the gap between rural and urban schools. The National Council of Parent-Teacher Association (NCPTA) started this project with Celltel Networks.
The project will provide digital tools like android phones, tablets, and laptops. Parents can buy these devices for their children with flexible payment options. They can choose to pay over one to three years.
Teachers will have a five-year payment period for their devices. This setup allows students to benefit from digital learning while parents pay in installments. Celltel Networks will also provide internet connectivity at no cost to the NCPTA.
