Some members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are upset. They are criticizing the Director of the National Service Authority.
The new director has blocked access to special postings for national service personnel. NDC members believe he should reconsider this decision. Promises were made, especially to members of TEIN.
They questioned his role in energizing the party for the 2024 elections. Julian Cobbinah, a former campaign team member, condemned the NSA director. He expressed his concerns in a social media post.
Cobbinah wrote about the director's attitude towards party members. He recalled a tragic incident involving a TEIN member during registration in 2020. He noted that the National Service Secretariat contributed to NDC's loss in 2016.
Cobbinah emphasized that they had to reconcile with former TEIN leaders after that loss. The current NSA CEO was not part of that reconciliation process. He reminded everyone that the party belongs to all its members.
He stated that government positions are gifts for those appointed. Appointees should remember this as they make decisions affecting others.
Cobbinah pointed out there is still time before the next election in 2028. He urged fair treatment of party members and citizens alike.
He hopes TEIN coordinators will protest against these decisions. Political appointees often act without considering their impact on party supporters.
These students are not asking for much, he concluded, questioning if that's too much to ask.
