The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Johnson Asiedu-Nketiah, is leading a delegation to China. This visit aims to engage with the Communist Party of China (CPC).
The trip is part of the NDC’s international relations agenda. It will focus on strengthening ties and collaboration with the CPC.
An official statement from Kakra Essamuah, the party's Director of Communications, outlines key areas for discussion. These include:
- Consolidating local government structures in Ghana.
- Strengthening party-to-party ties.
- Political exchange programs for youth wings.
- Exploring economic and investment opportunities.
Joining Mr. Asiedu-Nketiah are several officials:
- Comrade Vincent Kuagbenu – Director for Special Duties.
- Dr. Karl Mark Arhin – Deputy Director of International Relations.
- Dr. Hanna Louisa Bisiw – National Women’s Organiser.
- Kwaku Asiedu-Nketiah – Vice Chairman of the Youth Committee.
The delegation is expected to return to Ghana on May 17, 2025. During Mr. Asiedu-Nketiah’s absence, Comrade Awudu Sofo Azorka will act as National Chairman.
