Joshua Sika Nartey and grassroots organizations from the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have praised Martin Ayisi. He is the Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Commission. They commend his contributions under the current administration.
In a press statement, groups like National Soldiers for John Mahama and Elections Have Consequences Movement expressed their support. They highlighted Ayisi's dedication to the "Reset Agenda." His efforts have improved the Commission's operations and visibility both locally and internationally.
The statement noted several achievements during his leadership. The Kumasi office is set to be completed by June 2025. New office complexes are being built in Akim Oda, Bibiani, Bole, Damang, Kyebi, and Tamale. Staff residences in Bolgatanga, Tarkwa, Prestea, and Wa are also being renovated.
Additionally, 50 grassroots mine inspectors received overseas training at top institutions. These include the Colorado School of Mines and Curtin University. The group believes these efforts enhance professionalism in Ghana’s mining sector.
Lawyer Ayisi was also recognized for addressing grassroots concerns. His generosity towards underprivileged NDC members was highlighted as well. The group urged President John Mahama and the Minister of Lands and Natural Resources to acknowledge his support for party members.
They echoed Mahama’s 2024 campaign message: “experience, not experiment.” They described Ayisi as “one of the best CEOs” in government. They warned against any attempts to remove him from his position.
The statement concluded with a strong warning to those calling for his removal. “We will come for them,” it said firmly. The group encouraged all party members and stakeholders to support Lawyer Ayisi. Their goal is to make the Minerals Commission “second to none.”
