The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has downplayed threats by Minority Chief Whip Frank Annoh-Dompreh to obstruct parliamentary proceedings if the Electoral Commission (EC) does not declare Akua Afriyie the winner of the Ablekuma North parliamentary election.

Dr. Rashid Tanko Computer, Deputy Director of Elections and IT for the NDC, dismissed the ultimatum, arguing that the Minority’s 88 MPs lack the numbers to disrupt government business in Parliament.

“They cannot even form a quorum. Even if all our members decide not to attend, what business can they conduct?” he remarked on *Eyewitness News* on Thursday.

He further stated that the NDC’s majority of 183 MPs, along with four independent MPs, renders the NPP’s threats ineffective.

Tanko Computer also mocked the Minority’s stance, suggesting that they be given laptops to monitor proceedings instead of attempting to block parliamentary activities.
