NDC has lost “a gem” – Nukpenu on Ade Coker’s demise

Anthony Nukpenu is the Greater Accra Regional Organiser of the NDC. He expressed sadness over the death of Ade Coker.

Joseph Ade Coker was the former Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the party. He passed away on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Bank Hospital after a short illness.

Nukpenu described the news as disturbing for the party. It has dealt a huge blow to those who worked closely with him.

Speaking on Channel One, he said, “He was always in the media.” Coker addressed issues related to the current government’s performance. Just two weeks ago, he appeared on several radio stations.

Nukpenu noted that nobody expected this sudden loss. Doctors and family members did their best during his illness. Pastors also prayed for him.

He added, “When God says I want my soul, you can’t question Him.” This is a very difficult time for the NDC. They have lost someone dedicated to leading since 2009.

For those close to him, losing Coker is not easy at all.
