Victor Kojogah Adawudu, a member of the NDC legal team, has defended Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine’s decision to withdraw high-profile cases, stating that anyone opposed can legally challenge it.

Speaking on Eyewitness News, he emphasized that the law supports the AG’s actions.

However, former Deputy AG Alfred Tuah-Yeboah argued that Ayine’s public justification has invited scrutiny, as previous AGs have withdrawn cases without explanations. He noted that once reasons are given, they are open to challenge.

Meanwhile, former AG Godfred Yeboah Dame accused Ayine of using case withdrawals to exonerate NDC officials, sparking concerns about political influence.

The move has intensified legal and political debates, with the opposition NPP questioning the government’s approach to prosecutorial decisions.
