Aggrieved NDC members in the Nadowli-Kaleo Constituency have accused Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin of attempting to impose a District Chief Executive (DCE) nominee on the area.

At a press conference in Nadowli, NDC Constituency Organiser Frederick Kaninge condemned what he called “blatant interference” in the party’s selection process.

He alleged that Bagbin was bypassing internal procedures to push a candidate who was not among the three nominees recommended by the Regional Vetting Committee.

Kaninge warned that such actions could destabilize party unity and undermine grassroots trust.

The group reaffirmed its confidence in the vetting committee’s choices and vowed to resist any imposition, calling on party leadership to uphold due process and prevent what they termed as “elite gangsterism.”
