Supporters of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kotobabi disrupted a confirmation process. This was for the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) nominee, Rudolph Collingwoode-Williams.
They dismantled canopies, chairs, and the voting booth set up for the event. Previously, Collingwoode-Williams was rejected by assembly members on April 30, 2025. He received only six out of 17 votes.
Ahead of the second confirmation process, NDC supporters gathered at the assembly premises. They demanded that Harry Otu be nominated as MCE instead. They opposed any other candidate nominated by the President and issued threats against such nominees.
