Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, former Vice President and NPP's 2024 presidential candidate, criticized the NDC. He claimed they spread many lies before the elections.
Bawumia said the NDC promised to lower kenkey prices and living costs. He asked Ghanaians if they had seen any price drops for kenkey.
During a meeting with the Young Executive Forum in London, he stated that it’s easy to spread propaganda from opposition. He emphasized that prices are increasing instead of decreasing.
He noted that this trend applies to cement and other commodities as well. Bawumia believes their promises about lowering living costs were unfounded.
He also mentioned that in 2028, the NDC will likely present a new candidate. This change could give the NPP a significant advantage.
In another story, a Ghanaian praised President John Dramani Mahama after buying kenkey for GHS 3 at Agyeman Pentecost Junction in Labadi Town.
In a viral video, he expressed surprise and joy at the price. He celebrated while invoking Mahama’s name in gratitude.
“A ball of kenkey is GH¢3? John Mahama, Onaapo! It will be GH¢2 soon,” he exclaimed.
