The Mahama-led NDC government is reportedly targeting key figures from the previous Akufo-Addo administration for possible arrest and investigation.
Journalist Paul Adom Otchere revealed on Good Evening Ghana that former Attorney General Godfred Dame, ex-Transport Minister Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, former Communications Minister Ursula Owusu-Ekuful, and Gabby Otchere-Darko are among those under surveillance by National Security.
The operation, allegedly led by National Security’s Director of Operations, Richard Jakpa—who was dismissed from the military—has already seen raids on the homes of former Bank of Ghana Governor Dr. Ernest Addison and ex-Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta.
Adom Otchere claims the government is using these actions to create a perception of fighting corruption while intimidating political opponents.
He warned that more arrests could follow, with officials advised not to stay in their homes.
Meanwhile, Ghanaians await Attorney General Dr. Dominic Ayine’s promised prosecutions.
