NEIP CEO, Eric Adjei Provides Support To June 3 Fire Victim Solomon Akugru

The CEO of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), Mr. Eric Adjei, has helped Solomon Akugru. Solomon is a survivor of the June 3 fire and flood disaster. This year marks ten years since the tragedy, which killed over 150 people and injured more than 100.

Mr. Adjei met with Solomon at the NEIP office. The meeting also included blogger and social media personality Kobby Kyei. Afterward, Mr. Adjei shared his reasons for helping Solomon on Facebook.

He wants to help Solomon start anew. He provided tiling tools, rent funding for a safe home, and a mobile phone for communication. Mr. Adjei expressed how deeply moved he was by Solomon's strength.

In his post, he wrote about their meeting on June 3rd, 2025. He emphasized that this day would always be memorable for him. He thanked Kobby Kyei for sharing Solomon's story and facilitating their connection.

On May 29, 2025, Kobby Kyei shared an emotional post about Solomon’s experience after the disaster. A decade later, Solomon still carries visible scars and pain from that day.

On June 3rd, Mr. Adjei invited Solomon to NEIP with Kobby Kyei present. There, he made a personal donation to help Solomon begin a new chapter in life.

He provided startup tools for tiling skills and funding for rent to ensure safety and dignity. Additionally, he gave Solomon a mobile phone to stay connected as he starts this new journey.

Through this support, Mr. Adjei demonstrated true leadership—one that sees needs and acts compassionately. He praised Solomon's unmatched courage and resilience as an inspiration to all.

He also thanked Kobby Kyei for using his platform to highlight unheard stories like Solomon's. This act serves as a reminder for everyone to notice, care, and take action when needed.
