Ghana National Health Insurance Authority Director Killed in Attack

The District Director of the Bongo National Health Insurance Authority, Mohammed Seidu Akugri, was killed recently. His death is linked to the ongoing Bawku conflict.

Akugri was ambushed near Nagode. This community is close to Bolgatanga. His attackers killed him and then set his body on fire.

The brutal nature of this killing has shocked the region. Many are now fearing more violence may follow.
