The National Identification Authority (NIA) has announced new fees for Ghana Card services at select registration centres, effective February 4, 2025.
First-time registration and record updates will each cost GHC 310.00, while card replacements will be charged at GHC 420.00.
Those updating both records and replacing cards will pay GHC 355.00, and nationality updates will cost GHC 365.00.
These fees apply only at designated centres.
The Ghana Card, which includes biometric data for secure identification, is essential for government services, banking, healthcare, and elections.
Over 18 million Ghanaians have registered, with the card now also being issued to citizens abroad.
The first international card was issued in Ottawa, Canada.
