NIA expands premium services to 5 regions, relocates Accra centre

The National Identification Authority (NIA) will expand its premium registration services. This change starts on 5th May 2025.

The expansion includes five additional regions in Ghana. It aims to improve access for first-time registrations, card replacements, and updates.

The NIA is moving its premium registration centre. It will relocate from Shiashie to the Greater Accra Regional Coordinating Council (RCC). The new address is at Legon City Campus, GA-076-0326.

This relocation should streamline operations and enhance service delivery in Greater Accra.

Starting 5th May 2025, the premium centres at Greater Accra RCC and CalBank branches will require appointments.

Applicants must register and book appointments online at register.nia.gov.gh.

All other premium centres across the country will still accept walk-ins.

The NIA encourages the public to use these improved services while following the new appointment system at designated centres.
