The National Identification Authority (NIA) will begin registering Ghanaians aged 6 to 14 for the Ghana Card in September.
After successfully registering 18 million Ghanaians over the age of 15, the NIA is expanding its efforts to younger citizens.
The initiative has already been piloted in the Eastern and Central regions, and based on lessons learned, the NIA is ready for a nationwide rollout.
Prof. Kenneth Agyeman Attafuah, Executive Secretary of the NIA, confirmed that preparations are underway to ensure a smooth registration process for this age group.
