An aide to Prophet Victor Kusi Boateng has refuted claims that the Founder of Power Chapel Worldwide was detained by the National Investigations Bureau (NIB).
He confirmed that Prophet Kusi Boateng honored an invitation on March 13, 2025, but was released the same day after what he described as a "decent interrogation."
Reports circulating suggested that the preacher and Secretary of the National Cathedral Board of Trustees had been taken into custody over allegations of possessing multiple identities.
The controversy dates back to 2023 when Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa alleged that Kusi Boateng held multiple passports under different names.
However, his aide insists he is safe and sound, dismissing the detention rumors as false.
