NLA Director General vows to clamp down on illegal lotto operators

Samuel Awuku, Director General of the National Lottery Authority (NLA), has pledged to combat illegal lotto operations in Ghana.

Speaking at an Editors' Forum in Accra, Awuku emphasized the NLA's intensified efforts to regulate unlicensed operators and ensure compliance with legal standards. He urged illegal operators to regularize or face legal consequences.

Reflecting on recent accolades, including CEO of the Year awards, Awuku credited the NLA team for rebuilding the Authority's reputation.

The forum also highlighted the NLA's commitment to enhancing the sector's integrity and sustainability, urging public support in reporting illegal activities.
