The National Labour Commission (NLC) has directed the Teachers and Educational Workers Union (TEWU) of TUC and the government to finalize and sign their conditions of service by January 29, 2025.

A statement from TEWU's General Secretary, King James Azortibah, confirmed that both parties have agreed to negotiate in good faith and will report back once negotiations are complete.

Azortibah thanked Union members for their support during the recent strike action, which began on November 18, 2024, and emphasized that unity and commitment were key to achieving this progress.

He reassured members that TEWU's strength and positive image would continue to grow as they work toward improving conditions for both current and future members.
